All of our turquoise beads are sold 'by the strand' unless specified otherwise. Turquoise is one of the most highly prized minerals in the world. We offer turquoise in a variety of colors ranging from bright aqua blue to muddy brown and even lime green. Many of the beads have varying degrees of matrix, which is the brown or black veins or coloration. Because turquoise is a porous stone it is commonly stabilized or treated to seal the surface. This process protects the color of the stone and increases it's durability. Much of the American turquoise is not stablized, this is due to the high quality of the stone.
